Q&A: Future Plans, Guilty Pleasures, Competitive Cooking TV Shows…?

Hello everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! Over the last three weeks, I had a Q&A submission in the comments section of my posts. Today’s the day where I post my answers! I hope you guys enjoy, let’s get started!

Favorite recent show that you binged watched?

The most recent show is Never Have I Ever. I ended up watching all of season 2 over 3 days. I loved the humor and the teen romance/ drama! Coincidentally my blog post from last week was about my recent favorite TV shows, which you guys can check out here!

One book that you are embarrassed to admit that you loved reading?

As soon as I read this question, a series popped into my mind… Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I read the first book when I was around 7 or 8, and since then I haven’t been able to stop myself from reading each new book in the series that comes out. This is such a guilty pleasure, since I know that these books are written for younger children. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚

Why did you start blogging? How are you finding it so far?

During the initial months of quarantine, I found myself with more time since school had really slowed down. I tried lots of fun recipes, I learned how to bake, I painted, I wrote poems and short stories. Eventually, I realized that I wanted to share this with people and also interact with others who had similar interests so I could learn more. My dad used to have a blog many years ago, so he helped me set up my site.

I started blogging in September of 2020 and I still love it! I’ve learned a lot about myself: like how I like maintaining a schedule, I like creating thumbnails, etc. I’m also really grateful for my blogging friends. They are always supportive, and have amazing blogs of their own that I enjoy reading. I have to say though, that I’m partial to blogmas. The holiday time was my favorite blogging period from last year.

Which song do you think defines you the most?

Omg, I love this question! My English teacher from 8th grade asked us this question in the first week. I answered Believer by Imagine Dragons. I would go with the same song today.

The song is about realizing the meaning of the pain in your life. I’ve always understood this as: there is a reason something doesn’t work out or there is a reason I’m having a bad day, or facing a huge challenge. In the end, each of these things will make me stronger for whatever comes next.

What career would you choose?

I wish I could answer this question more clearly, but right now I’m not completely sure. I’m still in school, and my interests have been evolving and changing for years. I would want a career relating to science, but also one that is creative.

What area of studies do you wish to specialize in?

Based on the career preferences I currently have, for science I would like to specialize in biology or genetics. And for the creative aspect, I would pick design.

How long have you been cooking?

I’d say about five years! The first time I cooked was around 7th grade, for a project. Since then I’ve been cooking dinner at least once a week. Typically I try a variation of pasta or noodles, since those are my favorite foods.

Baking is a more recent passion. I started baking over the last two years. I started just for fun, but afterwards I found a project in my community where I could donate treats.

Would you ever consider competitive cooking tv shows?

I have participated in a cooking competition before, and it was a lot of fun! I am not completely closed off to the idea of participating in a competitive cooking TV show, but it’s not something I’m actively seeking either.

Thank you so much for your questions, and thank you all so much for reading! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, see you next Friday!
