What’s New? 18th Birthday, Graduation and Future College Plans!

Hello everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog. It’s been about three months since my last post. It’s been a busy few months, as I finished up my last year of high school. I’m really happy to start writing and blogging again. I started this blog during the pandemic as a way to share my passions and make new friends. When I started, I was on a schedule of posting every Friday. In the last year or so, it’s been more challenging to keep up with weekly posts like I did before. Considering my schedule over the last year, and my plans for the future, I will not be doing a strict weekly schedule. Instead, I want to post as often as I can and have fun writing and chatting with you all!

Since my last blog post, a LOT has happened! In May, I celebrated my 18th birthday. My family and I attended a murder mystery dinner show. It was a lot of fun to dress up and go out after such a long time (with masks of course)! The food was delicious, and the murder mystery part was suspenseful. My brother and I teamed up together, and my parents were a team. Later on, we got a pink and blue chocolate cake (my fav) decorated with butterflies! I usually do my own nails every week, so as a special treat, my mom and I got our nails done together.

In June, I had my high school graduation. I cannot believe that I graduated already, it seems like just yesterday I was a freshman! For graduation, I went shopping with my parents and found the most perfect dress. It was mostly white with a green, yellow and black border– my school colors. Since my graduation was late in the evening, my family and I went out to dinner at a nearby seafood place that stayed open past 9. We ended the night, with some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes in the colors of my future school (blue and yellow)! My mom also got a bouquet of baby’s breath with dyed yellow and blue flowers.

I wasn’t sure of my plans after high school until a few months ago. After what felt like a long school year (and application period), I decided to attend University of Michigan. I’m so excited to live in a new place and start a new chapter in my life!

Thank you all for reading! See you next week with another post. I will be sharing an easy-peasy smoothie recipe that’s perfect for a hot summer day. Catch a sneak peak on my instagram: @TANVIBYTES.

Question of the Day: What is your favorite blog post from this month? Feel free to share a link! It can be a friend’s or even one of your own…
